The IRC is currently undergoing a botnet attack, and this will likely continue for a while.

I'm most known as Toast/Toats/Altush (most common nickname).

Me or any of the active admins have no server powers to impliment a fix for this attack, as of this moment, though I will try to keep all users updated through either global messages (when I can) or through these forums.

It's recommended that users keep an eye out on these forums, though, considering the amount of netsplits occurring.

IRC is in the process of being installed on a new dedicated server. The existing config will be copied over to ensure an easy transition.
Both IRC servers will be available at the same time. All ops will need to ensure users make the transition before the old service is cut.

I will update this post with a notification when the new server is up. I would like all ops to ensure all requirements have been met before the final change over.

Please also note that after the cut over from the old to new server, there will be another period of down time of up to about 1 hour. This is to move power infrastructure over to the new server. The date and time of this will be announced after the successful cut over.

This is to install a new UPS for the servers.
